Maharashtra CET (MH-CET) 2008 admission process is coming to an end with release of final merit list for admissions 2008. The final list will include MH-CET 2008 scores or All India CET 2008 (CAT 2007 or XAT 2008 or SNAP 2007) score plus work-ex score plus the GD-PI score.
The result is available at DTE website.
Check your result before the site is pulled down by MBA aspirants.

You will need your CET roll number and date of birth to check the results. Someone on comments pointed out that I have not mentioned how to check results, well, being a management aspirant cant i expect people to figure out this much.

SIIB’s final merit list and first waiting list for admissions 2008 will be declared today at 4pm. Successful candidates will have to deposit first installment of 130K INR by 15th of march. The final merit list will be available at this link.

GIM ( Goa Institute of Management) has declared ( unofficially) the cut offs for Shortlist for GD PI round for admissions 2008. Cut off for General candidates is 90.01%ile and that for junta with Goa advantage is 75%ile. The emails and other details will be sent out on Saturday and result will be available after 4 pm Saturday at http://gim.sify.net

Both LBSIM and IMT have started dispatching call letters for GD PI process for admissions 2008. While LBSIM's results are available at http://lbsim.ac.in/pgdm200810gdpi.html, IMT will take another week to update their site. LBSIM's cut off for year 2007 was 91.2 and IMT's cutoff was 96.xx.

The cut-off is 96 percentile with a minimum of 50 percentile in each of the 3 sections of the CAT examination.
When I wrote SIOM : leader in the making, my focus was entirely on placements. Now, I wonder if should have looked into more aspects.
A good leader is one who is keen to learn from mistakes others have made. And it seems SIOM has vowed not to repeat SIBM, SCMHRD, SNAP and SIIB result declaration fiasco. Thats why, they have already put a notice on their website which reads

Isnt that nice. Good for PG moderators. The notice means lesser spam from impatient users and a much responsive and stable SIOM server.

As anticipated GD&PI shortlist for SIIB admissions 2008 has followed the same guidelines as last year. For open category the cut off for GD PI calls for SIIB admissions 2008 is 81.25(IB) and 51.75 (AB) .

Over the years SIU has declared many results. But season 2008 is turning out to be a new experience for them. First, SNAP 2007 results happened. People were wait for as long as 4 days to see their results.
SCMHRD kept everybody on tenterhooks. Result which was supposed to be declared by 9 am in the morning was not declared till 5 in the evening and once the result was declared, new complication cropped up. Almost everyone in the range of 77 to 84 SNAP score was in state of shock. Nobody knows what were the shortlisting parameters.
Then came SIBM results. Everyone who logged on to SIBM website to see if they were called was congratulated. It took them a while to realise that site had a bug. SIBM had to block their website to set things in order.
Now comes SIIB results, apparently last year result link is working. So anyone who logs on to SIIB GD link gets a meesage. Some people are actually getting their names in result messages. And some are being asked to enter valid details. Only SIIB can explain the goof up.

Today, SIBM will come out with their GD PI shortlists for admissions 2008. Considering the fact that there are some 300 odd seats available this year, the cut offs might get lower. Anyone, with a balanced score of 78 + is a candidate. The scores will be available only after 5 pm. So keep your fingers crossed and enjoy the ride.

SCMHRD website had 18th as the gdpi shortlist date. However, the mail said that SCMHRD shorlist will be out on 16th. Now, some dudes at PG have confirmed that results will be out anytime today. So keep your fingers crossed and best of luck.

One question that is on everybody's mind is what will be the cutoff for 2008 admissions to various SIU institutes. According to a poll conducted at PG, lot of people have managed to score in excess of 85. keeping in mind that people who score low generally do not respond to such polls, A cut-off of 80+ will be a safe assumption for SIBM 2008 calls. SCMHRD gives profile based calls. That means, 75+ score and a good profile might just get you a call.Next in line is SIIB. SIIB also gives profile based calls. Marks are added to your SNAP score to arrive at a new score. Shortlisting is done on basis of this new score. At least, this was the approach followed by SIIB last year. A detailed SIIB cut-off and Shortlisting methodology can be found here. This procedure was followed for 2007~2009 and SIIB is likely to follow the same procedure for SIIB 2008.

All of us know what happened to SNAP servers when they declared SNAP 2007 results. Expect something similar when 2.25 lakh MBA aspirants logon to check their CAT 2007 results. Fortunately, CAT is smart enough and they will be releasing the result through SMS and IVRS. Here is how you can check your results,
SMS CAT space registration number space date of birth
(dd/mm/yy) example SMS 'CAT 5370082 200289' to 5733 ( if your date of birth is 20 feb 89) or
SMS CAT space registration number space application number"
Example: 'CAT 5370082 030482' to 5733.
