LIBA's shortlist is out. The list is available on LIBA's campus notice board and it will take a while (another hour or so) before the list is uploaded at this link. however, going by the scores of people who are through, the cut off percentile could be between 92 and 93. thats just a speculation, actual picture will be clear only when the scores are available on liba.sify.net.

IMT Nagpur and IIT roorkee have released their shortlists for GD PI Process for admissions 2008. IIT roorkee’s GD PI shortlist is available at this link. I had a word with IIT roorkee people and the person on phone told me that reporting time for GD PI will be 8:30 am.
IMT Nagpur’s cutoff seems to be 80.xx %ile. This is a bit alarming, considering that normally tier III institutes go down to that percentile levels. That said, IMT nagpur sure has a lot going for it and I hope, they manage to sort out their placements. IMT Nagpur and IMT ghaziabiad’s shortlist are available at IMT’s website.
GIM ( Goa Institute of Management) has declared ( unofficially) the cut offs for Shortlist for GD PI round for admissions 2008. Cut off for General candidates is 90.01%ile and that for junta with Goa advantage is 75%ile. The emails and other details will be sent out on Saturday and result will be available after 4 pm Saturday at http://gim.sify.net

Update II : Results available
Normally in a GD session we are all given a blank piece of paper. You can use this blank piece of paper as your mind map or use it as a note pad. Transforming paper as a mind map makes things a wee bit easy when your turn comes. But more often than not people stumble and just fail to put their point across. I just came across an article about 'prep card', which can actually help you curb this tendency. I am not too sure about its effectiveness but, it sure looks promising.
A prep card is nothing but a normal GD mindmap, where in you jot down the points you want to talk about. Once you are done spilling out your brain on paper, just write down two three points about what you dont want to do. Like, "dont be too agressive" / "do not stumble" / maintain eyecontact" the list is endless. Once you write it down on paper, you will keep reminding yourself about what can be your waterloo.

The cut-off is 96 percentile with a minimum of 50 percentile in each of the 3 sections of the CAT examination.

When I wrote SIOM : leader in the making, my focus was entirely on placements. Now, I wonder if should have looked into more aspects.
A good leader is one who is keen to learn from mistakes others have made. And it seems SIOM has vowed not to repeat SIBM, SCMHRD, SNAP and SIIB result declaration fiasco. Thats why, they have already put a notice on their website which reads

Isnt that nice. Good for PG moderators. The notice means lesser spam from impatient users and a much responsive and stable SIOM server.

list of candidates shortlisted for admissions to PGPM 2009 is out. I am not too sure about the admissions year. Shouldnt it be Admissions 2008. Anyways, list is available at here.
The Phase II of the selection will consist of Group Discussion,Personal Interview,Group Activity & Written Communication Test. The Group Discussion will be based on a case study, which will be followed by personal interview. The Group Test would evaluate the soft skills required in a managerial position and the written communication would evaluate the ability to write concisely & coherently.
Final Selection:
The final selection of students will be based on the performance in Phase I and Phase II.
The weightage will be as follows:
SNAP Test-30%
Group Discussion-25%
Interviews-25%
Written Communication-10%
Group Test-10%
As obvious,performance in the next round will determine whether you'll make it to the final merit list or not..Make full use of the time available to you to prepare for the GD/PI...Do attend some Mock case-study based GD sessions to gain familiarity with them...Work on your basics for your PI which includes preparing for questions like
- Tell me something abt urself
- Why MBA
- Why MBA in IB (Read this article )
- Why SIIB
- Strengths/Weaknesses
- Hobbies
- Role model

SCIT will be releasing the list of shortlisted candidates today (expected after 5pm) . The list will be available at this link. SCIT adds certain weighage to the SNAP score and final calls are based on the new score. This is how SCIT arrived at final scores for shortlisting candidates for admissions 2007.
SCIT Shortlisting for GD-PI of Admission 2007
SCIT worked out the final score for consideration of the shortlist on the following basis.

SCMHRD website had 18th as the gdpi shortlist date. However, the mail said that SCMHRD shorlist will be out on 16th. Now, some dudes at PG have confirmed that results will be out anytime today. So keep your fingers crossed and best of luck.
