LIBA's shortlist is out. The list is available on LIBA's campus notice board and it will take a while (another hour or so) before the list is uploaded at this link. however, going by the scores of people who are through, the cut off percentile could be between 92 and 93. thats just a speculation, actual picture will be clear only when the scores are available on liba.sify.net.

Both LBSIM and IMT have started dispatching call letters for GD PI process for admissions 2008. While LBSIM's results are available at http://lbsim.ac.in/pgdm200810gdpi.html, IMT will take another week to update their site. LBSIM's cut off for year 2007 was 91.2 and IMT's cutoff was 96.xx.

The cut-off is 96 percentile with a minimum of 50 percentile in each of the 3 sections of the CAT examination.

When I wrote SIOM : leader in the making, my focus was entirely on placements. Now, I wonder if should have looked into more aspects.
A good leader is one who is keen to learn from mistakes others have made. And it seems SIOM has vowed not to repeat SIBM, SCMHRD, SNAP and SIIB result declaration fiasco. Thats why, they have already put a notice on their website which reads

As anticipated GD&PI shortlist for SIIB admissions 2008 has followed the same guidelines as last year. For open category the cut off for GD PI calls for SIIB admissions 2008 is 81.25(IB) and 51.75 (AB) .

SCIT will be releasing the list of shortlisted candidates today (expected after 5pm) . The list will be available at this link. SCIT adds certain weighage to the SNAP score and final calls are based on the new score. This is how SCIT arrived at final scores for shortlisting candidates for admissions 2007.
SCIT Shortlisting for GD-PI of Admission 2007
SCIT worked out the final score for consideration of the shortlist on the following basis.

| + 10 points for Academic consistency (if more than 60% in 10th,12th and degree aggregate marks) | |
| + 5 points for Engineering degree | |
| + 3 points for Degree Computers/IT related | |
| + 10 point for work experience greater than 24 months on January 6, 2007. |

Today, SIBM will come out with their GD PI shortlists for admissions 2008. Considering the fact that there are some 300 odd seats available this year, the cut offs might get lower. Anyone, with a balanced score of 78 + is a candidate. The scores will be available only after 5 pm. So keep your fingers crossed and enjoy the ride.

SCMHRD website had 18th as the gdpi shortlist date. However, the mail said that SCMHRD shorlist will be out on 16th. Now, some dudes at PG have confirmed that results will be out anytime today. So keep your fingers crossed and best of luck.

One question that is on everybody's mind is what will be the cutoff for 2008 admissions to various SIU institutes. According to a poll conducted at PG, lot of people have managed to score in excess of 85. keeping in mind that people who score low generally do not respond to such polls, A cut-off of 80+ will be a safe assumption for SIBM 2008 calls. SCMHRD gives profile based calls. That means, 75+ score and a good profile might just get you a call.Next in line is SIIB. SIIB also gives profile based calls. Marks are added to your SNAP score to arrive at a new score. Shortlisting is done on basis of this new score. At least, this was the approach followed by SIIB last year. A detailed SIIB cut-off and Shortlisting methodology can be found here. This procedure was followed for 2007~2009 and SIIB is likely to follow the same procedure for SIIB 2008.
