Two things that matter most while contemplating about a B-school are Placement scene and profiles offered to student. Following are some of the facts related to GIM, ribandar.
Placements at GIM, Ribandar
GIM has managed to clock some real impressive growth when it comes to placements. GIM's placements are definately not comparable to the IIM's, XLRI, FMS, NITIE etc but these colleges are in a different league. So, no point comparing GIM with them . Infact GIM has been grwoing at a breakneck speed. Picture this, XAT Cutoffs for GIM admissions 2005 were 80%ile, admissions 2006 had it at 84%ile, last year it was 90.1%ile and this year it will most probably will be in the range of 92~93%ile. This increase clearly indicates a trend, better student profiles hence better placements.
Average salary offered during Placements 2005 was 3.75 lakhs, Next year it was 5.5 lakhs p.a, Last year it rose to 6.41 lakhs p.a. and Placements 2008 saw average salaries rising to 7.4 lakhs p.a. Maximum salary offered was 9 lakhs p.a. in year 2007 and 9.5 lakhs p.a. in placements 2008.
